there's more to the setup than just the sizes. It's worth a read. I set mine up according to that write-up, and the bike ran great.

The Joe Minton setup worked great in my '94 FLSTN. I DID go up one size on the pilot jet to a #20 to eliminate deceleration popping in cold (below 60F) weather.
