Running RN12YC plugs.

Just found a local bike shop with old school mechanic. He’s got a ‘97 Heritage getting 50 mpg here at altitude. I will be taking this in to him to get fine tuned. He’s been really cool about sharing knowledge.

you get a hankerin’ to head to Az, give me a holler.
I am doing well, thanks, but be careful, might just take you up on that offer as I look out the window watching snow.

Taking the mixture out to up to 3 is OK to do. Try 2 then 2-1/2 and see what happens.

The reason 98hotrodfatboy asked about timing and ping is the color change on the grounding strap of your spark plug should be right around at the bend of the ground strap. It's the same reason I mentioned one step cooler in the plug.

Sometimes timing needs to be backed off with certain mods and fine tuning (only really a few degrees). I would try a one step colder plug, really won't hurt anything. But you are really close...

You will never get an accurate timing or heat range reading with anti-seize on the plugs, especially with that much in post 1 photo.

The plug requires heat transfer from the plug threads to the cylinder head... anti -seize interferes with that process.
