Default Mean City Cycles

I just bought a 1994 Road King and the seat height was a little too high. I'm 5'8" tall with a 29" inseam. There are not many low aftermarket seat options for this model so I decided to send my seat to Mean City since I have heard a lot of good about them. The factory seat is a 2 piece seat. I sent in the driver seat and they made it narrower, lowered it, and added memory foam. It's too cold and snowy up here so I cant test drive it but it feels great and I can easily flat foot the bike now. I just wanted to give them a good review.

I've never heard a bad thing about them.

I'll be the first, they destroyed a seat of mine then told me they don't specialize in that brand of seat.

Dare I ask.... was it a Mustang seat with all the pop rivets attaching the cover to the pan?

No sir, Corbin but had rivets, don't think they worked on Corbins again after mine, could be the rivets but did some real bad work on the shaping. Ended up taking it back apart and fixing it myself because had no choice, wouldn't fix it or give me my money back. At least a positive happened, learned how to do seats and have done some inserts and reshaping for friends, one was a Corbin lol.

Mine is a Mustang that needs a new cover, padding is good. They're only 2 hours away so I may just take it rather than ship. Thanks for the heads up, I'll proceed with caution

After reading alI the great reviews on MCC, when the Mustang on seat I had on the Moonraker...(1985 FXRS) needed some help I contacted them..ONLY because Mustang had told me the seat I had was "out of production and not available". Mustang also told me they don't offer any kind of "rebuild" service on older seats. ( For reference, I had about 165,000 mi on tha Mustang seat).
MCC's service was exactly as promised. Put in the order, got an appointment date on the calendar to ship the seat. The work was completed as promised and returned promptly. No issues with the service at all. Cost with shipping, etc. was right at $300.00 total out of pocket.
I've run about 20,000 mi on the MCC rebuilt seat and it's "fine". Just that..."fine".... not great..not awesome and not as good as the Mustang was when it was new.
I'm not bitching about MCC's service or their work, just providing a report of my personal experience and opinion. Make of it what you will.

Not for nothing but 165K miles on a seat takes a long time. Your memory fades and your *** gets use to a seat as it degrades.
I'm thinking you're not taking this into account.
