Thanks Mike!
Literally the only things needed to do is add primary oil, shifter, covers, pegs and change the circle type terminal on the starter solenoid to the plug style which I already have.
It will be done today after work haha

Thanks! I'm ready to just ride, I'm sure it will be an animal but being on the road and it being reliable is #1 priority.

Delkron case info:
Many links are no longer valid and the Delkron website is defunct. They do turn up used though and some new ones are available.
Solenberg bought Delkron and should still have some trans cases left from their recent run. They're terrible at advertising making them nearly invisible or they'd get many more sales so I mention them. I bought one and it's a proper Delkron quality product. FXR resellers might want to stock up in case they stop making them. It took a long time for them to get the foundry work sorted out and the inner primary covers must be especially difficult (I've been on their list a long time) so I don't know if those will happen. FXR aftermarket parts will become harder to get as interest in Evos fades and Twin Cam and M8 upgrades take over. (Similar to how Shovelhead stuff is going away as the old men who pioneered it it retire or die.)

If you do a lot of FXRs you might get in touch about buying in quantity since they won't get any cheaper. I should have bought more than two Delkron inner primaries but if theirs make it to market I'll rectify that mistake but I'm just a home gamer building for myself.

I've seen that and it is true. When I told myself I was going to pull the trigger and buy one I found a lot of people that had them in stock (not straight from Delkron or Solenberg). They are out there if you don't mind paying $600+ for a trans case.

For someone converting from the more common but older and inferior Hitachi starter era setup and spending Baker money they're a decent deal considering what the few late ("large starter hole") used cases go for since the difference is only a few hundred bucks and they can Ebay their old box to get that back.

Possibly useful trivia: The removed tapered shaft five speed transmission door with guts can be used in the S&S and other five-into-four conversion gearbox cases and retain the Shovelhead taper shaft clutch which may matter to owners with expensive belt drives (and the Shovelhead clutch properly set up is tougher than the early alloy hub/narrow clutch disc five speed clutches with the delicate hubs). You don't get the improved Denso starter but those conversions fit with minimal disturbance to stock Shovels. Many FXR owners have other HDs so I figgered mentioning this might help someone.

That is definitely true! but if I remember right his FXR is a 111 inch or something like that, so I don't know how well the old shovel keyed tapered shaft would handle his hp

The conversion cases ONLY apply to solid mount classic era Shovels (and a few Evo FXWGs which came with four-speeds) and not FXRs. Anyone knowing about those would know that but I probably should have mentioned. S&S version:
