Yeah, a CV will never have the same split second "right now" blast on a quick throttle twist as other carbs but you can get them close. The needle that's in it will make a lot of difference on low speed throttle response, but options there are very limited these days... It's all relative to everything else and a lot depends on how you intend to ride and good response doesn't have to sacrifice mileage, especially below 60 mph.
I can't imagine trying to tune a CV to open ground pounders on a Dresser but the 13 is a good cam for a heavy bike. Do a 48 at about 2 turns as mentioned and go from there, shouldn't need more than 1/4 + or - to get you close.
Im using the stock needle. Ok so I changed to the 48 and left the 180. It dose have what I think it needs but since Ive started this change from the quicksilver to a cv it can be cold or hot and it shuts off not while idling but in gear I can pull in clutch and fire it back up.it maybe a diff issue Other then this it runs great. Thank you guys for all your info on this.

so, what youre saying is; motoring down the road, it cuts off when you close the throttle?
If thats the case, I think its either a needle jet issue or the slow jet adjustment screw setting. You might try turning the adjustment screw out 1/2 turn, then another 1/2. If that doesnt solve the problem you might want to change the needle or needle jet.
