Default 1991 flhtcu

Hey all.
Can anyone tell me why the exhaust is on the blue ultra is missing the rear crossover? Is this a system from a a different year? It does have 65539-95a mufflers on it but all the 1995's I look at also have the crossover. The black bike is for illustration purposes.
Thanks, Frank

Has the Fullsac kit making it a true dual. Mine does too.

This Fullsac kit (top pic) for 200 bucks was bought to remove that crossover piece, the second picture, making it a true dual.

On bikes this age it's tough to find one that hasn't been modified by a previous owner. I'm a little surprised it has HD mufflers, with a mod like that you'll usually see an aftermarket muffler.

I'd sell this piece and the chrome cover for this piece, priced right, shipped fast with paypal...no games. Came off my 1990 FLHTCU.

Thanks for the replies fella's. I had not heard of this kit before. Never had a bagger, always Dyna's and Superglides. The mufflers on the bike have been "cored correctly". Always had shotguns but I will be running STOCK OEM mufflers. Really lookin' foreword to that Cop Bike sound for a change .... must be gettin' old.

Most of those Y pipes have cracked that’s why they go with the true dual or fulsac conversion. That’s a nice piece for an early dresser.

Mine is as good as it looks in that picture I posted here. No cracks, no dents, no issues.
I just did it for the true dual thing, which honestly I can't really tell a difference.

I swapped out my y-pipe for the Fullsac kit about 4 yrs ago, changed mufflers and did some minor adjustments on the carb. Bike runs fine and sounds even better.

OK Ray, I missed it the first time I looked - was the Bug painted to match the HD or the HD painted to match the Bug ?
