I know I know .. RTFM. I'm at work and want to stop on my way home to get a new piece of vacuum line that goes from the VOES to the carb. Anyone know what size it is??
Book calls for 3/16" BUT, depends a lot on (on the bike) whether it has a vacuum petcock, how the VOES is positioned and if the nipple on the carb is straight up or a 90.
The 3/16 is barely tight enough on the VOES if it's a straight shot and/or there's enough room and soft enough hose for a bend to make it fit straight. So, I'd grab a piece of soft 5/32 if they have it and stretch on the carb nipple and it'll fit snug on the VOES.
Using nylon hose with boots on the ends, 1/8 is correct.

went to several auto parts store, two hardware stores, and a tube and hose outlet, none of them had the 5/32 vacuum line. Finally got it at a Harley dealer. I also need a T fitting so still searchibg. Trying Amazon then Ebay.

If you can get someone at O'reily's to look, they have tons of assortment drawers with all kinds or plastic hose fittings.
