Well thankfully it looks like it held air. I pumped it up to 40 last night when it was still pushing 100F came out this Morning at 65F and it was down to just above 38. So thankfully seemed to have dodged that bullet. Hopefully he didn't balance it sans air or I'll definitely be dropping the bike off and have them tear it back apart. Lol!!
Still think the tire looks a bit odd compared to all the years running and seeing 402s. But hopefully I won't need to change this tire for a very long time.
Went out and got a good 100 mile ride in today on the new setup. Totally different feeling on the road with the Elite, no more iffy feeling in the corners that I can't describe more that it just felt loose before, now it feels totally planted. New jetting is definitely helping but got a bit more work to do, think I'm now out about 3-3.5 turns on the mix, dropped the idle a bit, waiting for it to cool to have a peek at some plugs. It still has a bumble pop on deceleration, maybe even a bit of backfire but it wasn't that loud. I have 14 plates in the traps now but am maxed out on bolt length till I get the longer ones. Now when I roll on it in 3rd it's like a set of secondaries opening up. It's liking that 180 jet. Runs noticably cooler, and just sounds better. I lost the chirp noise I had earlier and believe it was definitely loose flanges on the pipes but now have an almost small bell noise that sounds like a gremlin bell at idle near the back split pipe. No gremlin bells on my bike they work in reverse. Lol!!
Back brake is working way better but still far from perfect. Stops the bike but can't get it to lock up, but that could be a good thing. Going to rebuild the rear brake system this winter. If anyone has a choice kit to use please share, or do I just upgrade to the Twin Cam master to save that remote reservoir BS.
