This was my 1992 FXR. I bought it new in 1992 for about $11,000 out the door from Dudley Perkins Harley Davidson in San Francisco. I sold it in 2018 to another FXR collector. It had 130,000 miles on it when I sold it. I always appreciated the lack of chrome on this model.

Mine looked the same minus the shield and tank graphics. I had black with red Harley Davidson cursive on the tank.
Here's a close stock pic of my bike.
My buddy cashed out some 63 000 Swedish Crownes for that red FXR in post no. 1.
That's like $7400.
So it has sure keept its value during the years.
Unmolested early EVO FXR from them years are scarce on these shores.
And my buddy really wanted one, so he payed up and drove it home, happy as a lark.
Great score,I just made a deal for this '89 from a neighbor who can't ride anymore due to health reasons,$3500.
Love the FXR's,I had an '84 for 10 years and missed it from day one when I sold it to pay off my then bought new 2 year old 2000 Electra Glide.
Sold that Electra last year with almost 200,000 miles on the clock having bought another new one and so now I have both.
Kids are out of the house now and I'm making better money so I have big plans for the FXR.
Your buddy is going to love that bike and as others have said examples that original are hard to come by anywhere these days.
