Default 88 tourglide

I've been looking for parts for my 88 tour glide and can't really find anythang for anythang earlier than 93. And wut I do find gets like 5x more expensive. I've been looking for a lowering kit for the rear end az well as new saddle bags. I can't evan figure out if the hard boxes off a newer model would fit. Anyone have any suggestions?

Older saddlebags are cutout for the large side covers, 93 ups will not work. Ebay has parts for the Tourglide but very proud of saddlebags, some Tourglide parts are dirt cheap on Ebay if putting some time into it. Rear lowering kit is just going to be a shorter pair of shocks on the back depending on large or small bolt hole, market is wide open on rear shocks but also flooded with Tiawanese stuff that doesn't last very long.

Also, depending on your skills, you could put the battery under the seat then use saddlebags for '93 up Tour Glides. I haven't tried it but I would think you could buy the battery box and fit it in... The wiring would be what takes more time (not difficult but time consuming). You may have to weld a tab or two....
Also... Check Pinwall Cycle Parts often.

You can flip your swingarm, been running mine like that for 17 years with stock length shocks you'll have inner fender clearance but the chassis will be low and scrape if you ride aggressively.
