Default How to replace Softail rubber oil tank mounting

Hi all... Newbie here...

I got 1999 FXSTC, after a rough long ride with 3 others 103ci touring model, wash my bike and suddenly catch fire under oil tank. Fortunately the water hose is within reach and not making further damage. I checked, it's because starter wire touching body and it is because the front rubber mount oil tank is collapsed. I got the replacement parts, but very lazy to start because of limited space under the oil tank.
Check the manual, there is nothing there.
Any suggestions on how to replace the front rubber mounting without taking of the oil tank?

Your help is very appreciated Sir...

You might be able to loosen the other mounts brought to get enough room to slip the new mount in.

Yes, I did just that on my 1992 FXSTC, which has the same mounting of the tank, this saturday.
I removed the nuts on the front mounts and loosened the nuts on the rear ones as much as I could without removing them, then I could wiggle the tank off from the front mounts (and lift the tank enough to get to the bolts that hold the starter).
Didn't remove the mounts, but I think it should work. Worth a shot before you decide to remove the tank at least.
