Default 99 Heritage Springer

Been looking for a Heritage Springer for a while now and finally found one. Will be going to take a look at it tomorrow and hopefully take it home with me. I would like to know what should I be looking for being that its an Evo engine. Any work that should have been done or I will need to do. The bike has 11k mile on it. I have attached some picture the owner sent me. Thanks

11K miles I wouldn`t worry about an Evo engine
IIRC the Springer axle/bearings require periodic service to remain "tight"
Nice ride

Gorgeous!

"would like to know what should I be looking for being that its an Evo engine"

Nothing really.

It would be nice to know that the inner cam bearing has been upgraded, but if it's still running the stock cam, I wouldn't sweat it. I see that the original timing cover is still there. Not a guarantee, but that's an indication that the motor's never been opened. That's good.

One easy check is to pop the cover off one of the pushrods and see if it's got adjustables. If it does, that pretty much guarantees it's been cammed. Hopefully whoever did upgraded the ICB at that time. If it still has the solid pushrods, you can be almost certain the motor is stock.

At it's age, and assuming you put some real miles on it, odds are the engine (base gaskets, in particular) will get a little weepy. Doesn't hurt anything, other than looking a little grungy.

Really nice looking bike! Love that model!

Always loved that model and color scheme. If I may, what's he want?

Pretty much bulletproof.. No clutch issues, no swing arm issues, brakes have never been an issue except for the cover to the rear master cylinder, they tend to Warp.. So check that for moisture contamination. And the base gaskets for the cylinders, notorious for seepage but not a real big deal... Cam position sensor and the INA cam bearing... Nice find...
