Final Tune...???
I think this will be my "Final tune/Final Build".... We'll see ( I swore to my wife that this is the last time, even gave her permission to clobber me with our 12" cast iron skillet...LOL...)....
Not sure if those of you that have the Wego software will be able to se my latest attached log but here goes.. I will say that this last build I have was all completed (balanced and everything) by John Zanetti... Z Bros. Racing in Jersey.. When I dropped my motor off to him a while back, he gave me a loaner stroker 89"er that was so responsive and with my 6 speed and gearing it really turned on at 3100 rpm.. I was so impressed with it that I wanted that same type of build for my 96"er.. So he took that same blueprint and put it into my 96"er.. It's a different kind of power band (old school technology with long duration/lower lift cams) and I don't think I ever felt this kind of power in an Evo... Throttle response and street manners are amazing, even at 2400 rpm.. I currently have my REV limiter set to 6k and might be turning it up a little.. We'll see but I don't think the D2ki can set to 6200 so it'll probably just stay at 6k.. I don't want to go to 6500.. Why take the chance of a lifter pumping up... I'm done with that... Anyways I'm going to try and find a shop that will do me a couple of runs just to see where I'm at.. What sucks is that most shops around here don't want to set up a bike just to do a couple of pulls to see where it's at... But I'll try.. so anyways I attached my latest tune. My jetting is, .032" intermediate, .076 Main, Mik 110 in the T-Jet with a .040" air bleed... It's a little fat after 5k but better safe than sorry.. It really is a lot of fun.. Now we just have to change the new law in NY state on exhausts.. 84 db max or you get a $1000.00 fine.. WTF....
This was the only way I could figure to load part of my log.. It's a roll on from 15 mph from 1st gear through 4th to 117mph in 10 seconds flat.. My biggest problem is traction and I hit the REV limiter in 2nd gear.. The Metzeler tire spins a lot... If anyone has a suggestion to load the entire graph log as an attachment I would appreciate it.. Thanks..

I'm glad you seem to be happy with your tune. But I've read a lot of your posts, over the years, so I'm betting the wife already has that frying pan in hand.
I received this email from SEMA re: the NY exhaust law. I don't know it their info is accurate or not but there is a link to more info if you're interested.
FULL DETAILS Fact vs. Fiction: New York Exhaust Noise Law
Last year, the New York legislature passed a bill aiming to crack down on excessively loud vehicles. Unfortunately, vague local news reporting has created confusion amongst enthusiasts about what the law does. With the law taking effect on April 1, the SEMA Action Network (SAN) is here to answer your burning questions.

The SAN has created a “Fact vs. Fiction” webpage that seeks to clarify the matter:
