Used them over the last decade of riding my '86 chopper, but we still you them on my "old man" bike, real nice behind my '98 RK windshield.

Thought is give this helmet a shot and went out for a 10 mile ride today. It's really pretty windy up there in the Northeast right now.. That storm that went through brought a lot of winds. But anyways even with the wind I got to tell you this helmet, you don't feel the wind and it's so ****ing quiet that I don't need rear plugs anymore.. I love it... it's beautiful...
best $25 I spent Ina long time .

Have a Shoei, but just purchased an Arai this past summer. Much better fit with the Arai and went down a size and fits the shape of my head better - definitely find a helmet that fits the shape of your head. Little to no pressure points on our head. I got my Arai at the Ducati dealer for 50%. Feels much better on my head than the Shoei does, but that is due to it being one size too big.

I hadn't noticed a difference between the half and full face Shoei as far as neck pain Bob.

I believe the Shoeis are made in Japan.

My full face gave me neck fatigue after a long days ride. It was a lot of drag. I was riding a 1985 FXRS with no windshield. I can ride all day with my half helmet.

It's an older Shoei, I think. I haven't worn it in years.

One thing I'll say about full face helmets, there is a big difference in quality/fit/comfort when you spend a little more and get a nicer helmet. The cheap ones suck, they are loud, don't flow any air and usually limit vision. If you find the right full face it's worlds above in comfort, features, weight, etc. For years I rode with a full face with the visor open trying to figure out how people could ride with the visor closed and still breath. It was hot as hell and uncomfortable. When it came time to buy a new helmet I spent a little more and upgraded and couldn't believe I can now ride with the visor closed and feel all the air venting over the top of my head and into my face from the different vents. Way more comfortable in every sense
