If you choose R-10 (submersible, gasoline rated,) neoprene, you won't have to worry about the lines deteriorating (but the stuff is pricey, like $10 / foot if I recall.) Available at NAPA.

I`ve been poked a thousand times by frayed braided oil and fuel hose as an aircraft mechanic, I came to hate the sight of it.
Thankfully in the modern aviation world it has gone the way of the dodo bird. There is no advantage in using it on a motorcycle.

turn the spigots outward if they aren't already so they aren't cramped against the transmission and they may show a mild kink when new but will soften up with use.
