looking for info on my 87. picked it up earlier this year, ive got plans, but ever time I share a post about it on other social media etc, i get conflicting Info. i've been told its one of 800 Candy plum slate/steel gray. i've been told that color wasn't limited to the 800, but also been told it was only 800. Done some googling and found 800 in the color but 600 FLHTCs and 200 FLTCs, etc etc.
it does not have the badge on the tank with the number, but it does have the schrader valve on the crash bar for the front suspension.. that ive been told was an option on the limited run bikes.
ive read that in the late 80s and early 90s, Harley did limited run colors for January production (which mine is according to the VIN), have also read that the chrome engine package was on all the limited run bikes, but then was told the natural engine, was also some of them...
Ignore the 06 tourpack. Story behind it was, previous owner had it repainted and upgraded the stereo (adding rear speakers) and it fell over in the trailer with a couple other bikes. original tour pack is smashed, but i have it to fix later if i want. Its a great bike, comfortable, stereo is good, runs awesome and everything else. but if it is a limited run color.
How dare you put a 06 tourpack on that collectible bike?! If you are really interested in that kind of info, just call the MOCO and they probably will help you out. Other than that, it's a nice Evo. Enjoy.
