I'm riding a home build Harley with a 1999 evolution engine on a four-speed shovelhead transmission. Had a new vibration appear a few months ago and was driving me crazy. Engine running smooth as a top, transmission making no unusual noises and I had done all the things that the forums said to look for including tightening all nuts, bolts and engine mounts. When looking over the frame again lo and behold I noticed that the highway bars that I put on a couple years ago had gotten a little loose and slid down both the frame mounts. It still seemed to be tight until I gave it a good shake and sure enough, once I tightend those bolts down good, vibration gone!
