This is problem for lots of newly signed up members that are only here because they got bike issues.
I see it all the time, these guys or gals are not looking up rules or concerned about “posting in the correct section!”
They normally just want a quick answer from knowledgeable bike guys. Instead they get chided almost from the first post, which they can see from the first email.
If it’s some sour response or something that didn’t answer the question, that just might be why we get one post wonders.
I wish this, "go to the new members section and introduce yourself" crap would go away. It's annoying as hell. If a new guy shows up with a question and gets an answer, he might be more likely to stick around if he doesn't get the "new member" section treatment. I've been around a while, I don't go over to that section to say Hi to any of these new guys. We'll get to know you as we go.
