Default EVO mileage

How many miles are on your EVO and at what point if any would you consider your mileage to be where you would be concerned about it being a reliable daily driver?

86000 miles …considering how its maintained I don’t have any concerns riding it anywhere on a daily basis

I am at 125K on my 99 Heritage. Top end rebuilt at 106K, lifters and drive belt replaced. Normal maintenance has been kept up so I have no fear whatsoever in riding it on trips as well as my everyday ride. Mileage is less important than proper maintenance to me..

Isn't a matter of mileage, more a issue of maintenance.

If it's well maintained it'll go the distance.

I’m going to simply echo what’s been said. If you keep the regular maintenance up and PAY ATTENTION to your bike when you ride, then “ mileage “ won’t mean much. Paying attention means looking her over now and then for wear, looseness, poor connections, things rubbing that shouldn’t, things rattling that shouldn’t…. Well, you get the idea.
I’m riding the 1985 FXRS I purchased new, in ‘85. My personal standard is to keep her ready for another solo cross country ride at all times. We’ve done several of them in racking up the 320,000 total miles I’ve ridden her.
( second motor, original gearset + a few mild mods).

142,000 on my '95 Road King. Top end at 98K to correct a base gasket leak, lifters at 50K and 130K. Ridden daily and wouldn't hesitate going cross-country.

Like others said, maintenance is the key to a long and relativly trouble free life of your Evo. Regular fluid changes in all 3 holes. I only use dinosaur oil in my Evo motors. One thing often overlooked by Evo owners is proper warm up. I let my bike idle till I feel some warmth in the rocker covers. a proper warm up is a good way to avoid base gasket leaks.

145K+ on my `89 Heritage Softail.

Overhaul at 80K (no Cylinder Head work).

Top end at 120K (torn down due to leaking base gasket).

I would not hesitate to take this bike across country.

CV40 Carb.
EV 27 Cam.
2005 Gearset and Shift drum.
Wilwood brake calipers.

I blew mine up at 89k. Had a hole in the piston that chewed up the motor like a fat chick chews up a snickers bar. Had the engine rebuilt about 5-10k ago. I'd ride it anywhere.
