Absolutely for inserting tube...This Good Year is so damn Stiff I am having a Time, getting it On the Tube Type Rim...afraid to Pinch (cheap azz) tube!!!
I also made something similar, and bolted it to one of those old Sears work benches, I lay it over on it's side and balance the tire.
Looking through you can see how it's bolted, makes a nice sturdy mount while I stand on the foot rest.
Is that the axle you have poking thru the wheel? I have that same table and a spare axle...Still going ahead with the concrete inserts as I can use the anchor point for a few other things in addition to tire changing. This method does get you off your knees.
Hey 98hotrodfatboy, are you saying a 5/8 insert/threaded rod is sufficient for the EVO factory rims?

Yes that's what I use but while I had the Hilti I put in a 3/4" as well just in case..

On mine it is a 3/4" axle from a squirrel cage, that I found on the ground in front of, you guessed it; a HVAC business while walking my dog (I pick up everything), perfect fit.
