Default Evolution valve covers

Doing a top end and the chrome on the valve covers is bubbled everywhere, any source for new ones?
Or am I looking at ebay?

Evo rocker boxes are no longer available from the factory, but your dealer parts guy may be able to find them from another dealership.

I bought a set about 2 years ago just before they became unavailable, the cost was almost $800.

I think S&S may still sell them.

$800? I wonder what it would cost to rechrome the originals.

Stay away from after market for sure. Not slamming S&S, just knock off stuff from over seas. Your dealership should be able to do a nation wide search with part #'s of all the dealerships. Anything on the Bay might be in similar condition as yours, but find the part #'s and do a search. You might find NOS in a box, then that would be a score. Re-chroming yours, to keep factory parts, is not a bad direction either. Good luck.

Sandblast and paint them flat black with 1500° VHT header paint. I hear that flat black is all the rage.

The S&S 2 pc boxes for the evo are good kit. I don't care for the OEM 3 part setup, seen way to many warped ones.
