We’re both old enough and been around these things long enough to have that perspective. What a blessing, huh..? I bought my ‘85 FXRS Brand new in ‘85. That was a time when that new EVO not only got NO respect, but was openly ridiculed. I had the first one in Nashville chapter and riding it up to the Clubhouse got “ looks” from Brothers riding “ homemade motorcickles”.
Now I’m riding a “ Classic “..🤣
Same bike…39 years and 324,000 miles later.
( For the record… I can afford any bike I want, just never found one I’d rather be on.)
Perspective…. It’s a wonderful thing.

I think it will be easier to find Twin Cam parts based on the Harley production numbers...they literally made an order of magnitude more Twin Cams than EVOs. I will never sell my EVO. If I can't keep it running, I will keep it just to look at it.

It's already happening. I asked my Indy about aftermarket tubless wheels for my '99 Twink....he said, "good luck finding some.".....wonderful!

Getting tubeless rims for the older Evos is still no issue.. You can get any 2000 up rim that uses a sealed bearing and use that because they still used a 3/4 axle .. Sometimes you might have to mess with the spaceer a little bit because of the width at the hub with the sealed bearings is a little wider than those that use timken bearings..
I've used Southern Motorcycle Works for rims for my 98 bike like 7-8 years ago and still use them to this day and they're a perfect fit with the seal bearing..

Thanks for the info. Don't take this the wrong way, but the bike is maybe worth $4K, and a set of Southern Machine wheels(which are really nice) would be half that. I do like the stocker HD cast Wagon Wheel that they made from 2001 thru 06 or 07. They are pretty cheap used and I was under the impression HD went to a 1" axle then, and changed the rotor/caliper mounts? I reckon I need to start a thread, since I am getting conflicting info on fitment from other sources. All I know is I really do not like tubes....they gotta go.
I know tubes have been around since Jesus got his first mini bike, but it sure is handy to be able to plug a tire yourself when out in BF Egypt. Planning a 4-5K ride next year hitting the Rocky Mtn States from TN.

A 2003 Dyna with the cast wagon Wheels takes a 9267 bearing which is a 3/4-in ID for the axle..
Front rim part number is 43499-00a 19"
Rear rim 41012-00a 16"
All FL'S EXCEPT SOFTAILS HAVE THE 1" bearing
All FX's and all the softails have the 3/4"
