Sorry bout that, its a 87 fxrs I have owned it for 5 mos. When I bought it I took it to a dealer( on a trailer)for fluid changes, tires and brake light switch. That took most of my beer money. Then I decided to ride while it was cool here in GA and learn how to do what I can (save my cash) when it got hot. anyway when you check the trans level, its full, check it on the side its empty.
I have never checked mine between changes. When I do change it, the bike is on the jack and I pour in 24 ozs of fluid by using the guage on side of bottle. Works ever time, that is correct amount every time. Pour once, check once.....
