Default trans fluid low

Changed my trans fluid about 1500 miles ago to Red Line V-twin SP. Used 1 Qrt. Checked my level today after a 30 min ride and it was right on the add line. Checked it on the jiffy stand as per the manual.

No leaks, would notice it "Bleeding" on the floor.

Not sure if it's worth it to get another bottle for a couple of oz just to bring it up a little. I'm positive the whole qt went in.

Is there anyway the transmission oil can leak into the engine or primary?

If not then don't use that oil anymore-it is evaporating LOL.

Personally, I'd keep a close eye on it and see if the level drops anymore.

Also I thought the transmission needs to be checked with the bike upright, I think that's how I do it but I can't remember because I never check it-just change it every 10k(might ought to start checking it). I looked in my service manual and it says check it on the kick stand.

Good Luck

PS Are you checking the level hot or cold? Service Manual doesn't specify. Don't know if it makes a difference, but it might.

Also says to allow a short period of time to equalize lubricant level in the transmission compartments. I wouldn't worry about it. I'd keep an eye on it the next time you change it out.

Personally, FWIW, I change out my tranny fluid and generally never check it. I simply change it out at the next interval.
