Transmission identification '87
Hello,
My bike is a Softail Custom from '87.
I searched on google, but did not find the answer. Can somebody identify my gearbox?
There is only one code stamped on it "CF 2292". (In the pictures you also see the Cannonball kickstarter installed)

That is an old style trans, looking at the shift drum detent is an old style detent, which is correct for a 1987, so my guess would be original trans that someone put a kick starter kit on and also its a tapered mainshaft which is correct for your bike

The kickstarter I have installed.
The frame is from '98, but the engine is from '87 and was wondering about the year of gearbox. So, should be the same year as the engine.
