New here and looking for help

When looking at the part numbers, check the price column, and if $0, means that parts are not longer in production,
and will need to run down New old stock parts that someone still has, used parts, or after market parts isntead.
Also keep in mind that Bike has taller bars than what can with it,so if regards to control cables off the bars, measure to know what lengths you needed if they need to be replaced. Also, figure out if bike is MM fuel injected, or carbed, since can get dialed in for after market sensors for the most part, that are as good and less expensive then the HD sensors instead. Hell, the soft saddle bag carriers are on the bike, and if you did not get the leather saddle bags with it, not hard to find oem or after market bags that will work with the carriers.
As for the only other thing that comes to mind (besides a gas tank that liner has peeled and rusted inside that you may need to clear up from bike sitting long time), is would do a compresssion test on cylinders, since without engine oil fogged for long storage, maybe some pitting on the valves and seats that may need some clean up as well.
In most case, such pitting is not deep so valves can be reground/valve seats re-cut, and while you have that apart, new valve steam seals as well.
So really, is this going to be a tear it to the ground apart and bring is back up to conditions is left the factory restore, kind of that, but not as deep, or more of just get it running and cleaned up, put on what is missing now, and just send it instead?
Ask around and find a good painter for that fender. Not sure if its a reflection or a dent but if dent, there are guys out there that will get it out without harming the paint. Some of them are all set up to do the paintless dent repair and are skilled craftsman. Again, you just gotta ask around. My local dealer told me about the guy I used. That was two bike, three carr and countless referrals ago.
While not a dealer, I have had good luck with Dennis Kirk for a lot of items. Seems like you have to plan ahead to acquire Evo parts and keep some routine and "consumable" items on hand. Then there is the "this is good deal" part that you don't really need but seem to often come across. The hard part is "do I really need it"?
I have a cabinet and shelving unit full of maintenance parts, might need it parts, someday I will replace it parts, spare parts, and some "oh ****" parts. Then there is the attic in the garage, the wife don't know about that stash...
Good luck with the new bike. Post a few pics after you clean it up. It's amazing what a little soap, water, mothers chrome polish, and some wax will do. YD

Hardware / Bolts / Fasteners - You can get most things from companies like Vtwin Mfg, Drag Specialities or Colony Machine (my preference)
Items like motor parts, cases, clutch, gearbox parts etc - I typically use W&W cycles, J&P cycles, S&S, Baker etc.
Theres a vast catalogue of aftermarket replacement parts for these bikes but if you try to get every part NOS HD factory, thats more difficult.
