Any thoughts, experience, words of wisdom re: model, the year, etc. would be helpful.
I ride a StreetGlide also. Like you I wanted a second bike, a lighter bike to putt-putt around town and such. I also wanted a carbureted bike. I found a 2000 model FXDWG cream-puff. I'm glad I have two different bikes, it's nice to have options.

Friday morning we're headed to the Palo Duro Canyon state park for the weekend, it's 770 miles round-trip. I'll ride my WideGlide when I get back home.

I wouldn't do that, because then he'd be sacrificing ground clearance and lean angle. The only legitimate reason to lower a motorcycle is if the rider has short legs and can't reach the ground.

I think we’re talking about fender relative to the wheel / tire….

I agree - but might be amplified by the angle of the shot. (?)

Can't move the fender, don't recommend lowering it. What's the OP to do? It looks fine the way it is.

Maybe it is the angle of the shot. It appears like the fender sits high above the wheel. Most bikes have the top part of the tire tucked up under the fender.

Lets not get over analytical, Im not saying it looks bad or anything like that. Its a great looking bike.

There's just nothing modern like the Evo sound. It does look a little high in the rear, not sure why. Bike looks pristine, how long did the last owner have it? Did you check the age of the tires?
