What other Evo engines will fit into my 1987 flhs frame and primary

Any of them. The later have front mounted oil filter and the pump is different but you can change all that and they're top breathers but that matters not.

I put a ‘99 “ crate motor “ in my ‘85 FXRS without issues.

The later the model year the better in my opinion. 98 & 99 being the best in my opinion.

You can put any motor you want in that, especially if you look at some of the adapter plates that Vulcan engineering offers up in New Hampshire..
Just got to do a little research, it's that simple...
