Im planning on mounting a touring trunk and hard bags on my 1996 Heritage Softail.
My only problem is that they are just so plain compared to existing leather saddlebags. Im thinking of building panels with the same studs and conchos as the existing hardware and fastening them to the new bags and trunk.
Im wondering if anyone has done the same and if there are any pictures, advice or suggestions available?
I spent over a week searching on google, pinterest and this forum before making this post and didnt find anything close to what I am asking about. But out of respect, I spent the day searching google and Pinterest again still nothing. I guess, Ill do my best to pioneer this and document my progress if anyone but me is interested

I built a tour pak for my Road King from a bare shell I got from Calvary fiberglass. It doesn't have much of a passenger backrest on it but it does have a decorative pad with the black pearl studs that match a Mustang seat. I had the pad made by Saddlemans. Come up with your own design and make what you like. There are pictures of mine somewhere in this section of the forum if you want to look for them.
