Default Docking hardware

I've been looking for a mid-late 90's Electra Glide Classic,

When did they start with the quick detach Tour Pack?

I've noticed some of the late 90's 'Glides have the QD tour pack, but can I adapt later versions of the QD hardware to the early-mid 90's Glides?

I'd like to be able to remove the tour pack and put on a backrest for the wife for local cruising.

I've done plenty of wrenching and mods, just not the quick detach stuff.

I have a detachable backrest with a luggage rack for my 95 RK that I bought from HD in the late 90s. I also have a detachable Tour Pack with hardware from an Ebay purchase that's most likely Chiwanese. Anything 93 to 08 should be a direct bolt on.

You can adapt the 97+ hardware to your earlier Evo. I did it for my 89 and 87. The spacing is different, but easy to fix.

On the 96 and older I believe you will need to use some spacers to center the mounting points for the late model QD accessories. I did i for my buddy and it worked fine.
