Where are you guys re-locating the oil filter mount wen changing to a tranny case that has the oil tank below instead of on the right side of the frame on the older Evo bagger? Asking for a friend. :-)
Side of the Engine, as in Late Models...or ...IDK...Never ran that oil pan under tranny stuff...and when I did, No Oil Pan..mounted the filter under tranny like the Late 4-speeds..some Modification required!!
Back in the day
When I rode with a club, Big Nose 1%er, GBNF rode a Shovelhead homemade motorcickle he had dubbed The Milwaukee Flyer. He hung the oil filter out on a front down leg of the frame. Used an oversized filter and got extra oil capacity ( always a good thing) plus a little more cooling. Just a thought..😉

Why do people install after market oil filters, if the stock one is over kill? Myself I never like taxing the oil system, because I have never considered harley to be generous with that the equip their bikes with.

Folks are convinced that More is always Better (why Humans are getting Fatter??) But..The Harley Oiling system, particularly the Shovelhead...and Early Ironheads, have a Horrible time Returning Oil...with Nothing in the system (XLCH). But...none of my affair.
hell..The MoCo even recommends Twinky oil filters for your Old Iron...good way to get rid of them Finally!!!

People on TCs and M8s are still putting after market pumps. So I question pushing stock any harder. I question pushing after market to an application they were not built for.

Do you remember the guys on rigids who would mount the filter on the rear left by the axle? Always liked the location on a rigid. Not so much on a dresser.
