1) I occasionally get a POP when starting my bike. I recently adjusted the carb (started at baseline settings and then adjusted per instructional video and seemed well sorted out and it runs great in general). But I get the POP.
2) If I adjust the idle (when warmed up) to be roughly 800-900rpm then it is too low when I start the bike to idle without giving t a tiny bit of throttle. Do I need a larger idle jet?
Don’t leave the enricher up a long time. You’ll just start fouling plugs and building up carbon in your chamber. Not to mention “some” small potential of washing your cylinder walls causing piston and cylinder wall wear. Use the enrichner to start it, maybe leave it up 10-15 seconds, but then close it at least half way and fully within 20-25 seconds. If it won’t idle start over tuning your bike. You can have the idle screw at about 900 once warm. No lower.
Usually,,, not always, if your idle mixture screw is more than 1 1/2 full turn out… you will wanna try the next jet up. It might be too much, but usually it’s an indicator of the jet size. If it’s like almost all the way in, try a smaller jet.
