Who's to say the new one won't have a defect or issue.
I say if it ain't broke.......
But I'm hardly an expert.
I've started thinking about a new belt.
Can you post a pic of the old belt? Mileage?

I have a Softail Lo with a skinny belt on a 200 rear. When I first seen it it kinda made wonder but the company mostly knows what it's doing... mostly.
Thanks for all your replies. I'll probably leave it.The cost of the rear sprocket is more than the belt plus front sprocket. If it shortens the belt life by 25% I'd still be ahead to leave it be.
If the shape of the teeth are good it's good. Minor normal FOD wear wouldn't bother me.

The old belt has damage from some sort of debri going through it. The bike has 70,000 miles and i have no reason to think its been replaced. I've only had the bike for 9 months. The damage was there before I got it.
No offense but that hole could have been created 30,000 miles ago.
I had one punctured at 20K sold bike at 45K, saw it a bar years later 65K
Not recommending it ,but, there`s a lot of them out there.
But, it`s off your list, good on ya !

I'd be more concerned with the wear at the arrow in the picture than the hole in the belt.
You can even see the pattern on the pulley, you need to look and see if you can figure what caused that.
