With the tach and the black eyebrow and the all-black engine and covers, it has to be a Sturgis FXSB.

An acquanitance of mine had a Low glide in 83, first year that it came out. Kind of a cross between a low rider and and wide glide as I recall. Been a while a go huh?

I would say that you are right on for the year 83and the correct model would be Low Rider, FXRS. This is my best guess and I am about 98% sure.

I think it is either a 1982 or 1983 FXSB. It is definately from the FXS family group. Definatley not related to the FXR though....totally different bike.

Huh, now you have me wondering. Save me the trouble please and tell me what is the differance between a FXS and a FXR.

The only differance I can see between that bike and my FXRS is the motor and some frame differances, like angle of shock etc.

Frome the pic and the fact that is does have a tach and speedo on the tank. Also the rear fender style, to me it looks like a upgraded FXR? Which is the FXRS.

Thanks.
