I never really thought about that but I guess your right, the Sportster may still have the Evo style heads but it has always been a twin cam motor. The Revoution is the V-Rod
Sorry, I didn't think ANY of the Sportsters had two cams in them.

Sporties have 4 cams. Always have, even before they were Sportsters, and were flathead K Models.

The 2000 FXR4 was the last EVO BigTwin manufactured. I believe the last EVO to roll out was late June 2000.

Most dealers, riders, and including books all say the EVO was 1984-1999. They all mostly fail to recognize the FXR4 as the last EVO and indeed the last FXR series. They never mention the FXR4.

It certainly was not 1999!

Yeah, and even though the Knucklehead was introduced in 1936, the MOCOcontinued to produce flatheads thoughout WWII and well into the 1950's. In fact, the trike Servi-Car used a 45 inch flathead from its introduction in 1931 until it was retired in 1973!

The sportster Evolution motor is not the same as the big twin EVO motor.

If I remember correctly, there was a 2000 FX model that was the last actual Evo motor. I thought mine was the last year (99 FLSTC) but someone pointed out the 2000 FX to me.

There is very little difference in the top end....all the rocker gear is interchangeable.

I have never heard anyone refer to an Evo as a "Blockhead"....only Evo....is this something people do in real life?
