I had 2 1/4 inch samson short slasher drag pipes/super e, sounded real tinny even with the AR Cones in (stupid things) Took em' out, & pipes off and put in Thunder Monster baffles and they were just the sound that I was looking for and they gave me a little bump in ponies too. I needed to rejet as the dumb azz who thought he was a tuner couldn't even tuna a fish. But other than that if I were you I would try em, or get a 2-1 pipe, of whcih I went to after 4 years of loud wtih the samsons that I had on. You can find them fairly cheap any more, like $150 bucks on ebay, or you can get the Big Growls which are similar to the Samson 2 1/4 drags and put some baffles in them and go from there, but I'd run em' first and then make the determination. You might not need to re-jet. JMO....
