Default hyper charger??

Does anybody out there on the interweb run one of those hyper charger air cleaners on their bike?
Is it comparable to a stage one system?
Worth the expense?

My 86 FXRS has one, but it was on it when I bought it, so have no baseline to compare. I was at a local Indy shop a while back, and he told me he doesn't like them because he didn't feel the air cleaner had enough surface area, FWIW. It does have a K&N in it, which I think flow better than the paper filters.

It does no more than a SE Stage I or Ness Big Sucker, except look gaudy. Save your money.

it flows more than a stock filter, but you get no ram air from it at all as there is a hole cut in the bottom so the bike will run at an idle when the butterfly is vlosed.

I have one on my bike, but no pic's of it. It's ok, but will change it out eventually. I do understand there is better so you can provide more air to your motor. I am running the EV27 cam and Rush 2.25 slip ons. It also takes a lot of space on the right side.

my brother-in-laws bike came with one. he tried to tell me that it gave more horse power. well as soon as he had the money he changed it. looks like the scoops they use to put on the cars trying to look like it had fuel injection. some people love the looks but i think it looks fake and cheap. just my 2 cents.

I had a hypercharger on my '98 when I bought it, it came apart in a few thousand miles, I trashed it and will never use another one again, an air cleaner does not need to be mechanical to work properly. My sig pic (with Miss Austin) has the Hcharger on it, I just cant bear to part with the picture....
pic just below has my homemeade AC.

I have one on mine for about 15 years now. No complaints.
