8000 miles out of sbs sintered brake pads
aside from the fact that i do alot of heavy braking,i guess i think i'm still on my sport bike.
what pads do you guys use,and how long do they last?
I'm sold on Lyndall pads,
They cost a little more, but stop on a dime. Hardly anyfade and little if anybrake dust. They have saved my bacon more than once. I'm running the Z-Plus pads as I hardly ever get caught in the rain. The Gold pads are less expensive and havea softer compound, so they will not last as long. I have Russell SS rotors and these pads are recommended by Russell. They are very rotor friendly.
Do yourself a favor and search for on Lyndall here and see for yourself.
I 2nd the Lyndall's. I had the same SBS and they dusted like crazy on my spoked Heritage rims. The Lyndall's don't dust nearly as much but they occasionally squeak.

Those Lyndall pads will make your bike feel like a sport bike. They give you the capacity to lock the wheels,a little too easy at first.I will not ride without them ever again.Period!!!

I got the "Z"'s on mine. They're kinda squeaky I think. They do brake alright though, but still squeak.
Next change, I'm going wtih Ferrodo Platnium's. I hear they're supposed to be the Sheet.
