I want to put a smaller / street glide look seat and remove my luggage rack. The seat mounts to the luggage rack and not the fender. Anyone have any experience with this. Any idea where to get a seat? Also looking to put new mufflers on. Any idea on a smaller dioameter muffler? maybe same size as the head pipes.
You will need to drill a hole for the seat bolt thru the fender if you remove the handrail, and install a stud. Not a big deal. I have heard of guys fitting seats up to the early 2000's on the early 90's baggers by modifying the front seat hook that grabs the frame. The bases are all plastic, so it's not that difficult to bend the seat base to the contour of the frame.
