1984 first of the Evo's. I still read the Touring section since some applies and I have buds running newer bikes. When I signed up here I was using the 'all new posts' button. Man - what a lotta scrolling and skipping and didn;t even get a day's worth anyway. Now I poke around into a few forums every day.
I like the title of a Classic. When I role up to a crowd there are the guys that are fuel injected and then there are the EVOS, Shovels, and Pans. A guy talking about his Cams and Heads gets more respect from me than a guy that talks about his new computer program he just got for his bike.
computers belong on desks. power programmer what? riding a 93 fatboy that i looked for for almost six years. wouldn't sell it for anything. she's changed a little since this pic. not to be cocky but i have walked away from quite a few newer bikes
92 evo fatboy here and wouldn't sell it for the world.
Very nice work on your 92, LOVE the blackout theme!!
Also flstf93, your bike looks alot like mine when it was stock back in 92. Take a look at my gallery!! Glad to know there a lot of us still on the road woth our EVO's.
You guys are so right about this topic! I get on this forum almost everynight, most of the time I just laugh at all the guys that talk about the milions of miles they put on every year but they own an 08 or 09 with 2500 miles.
Is there a forum around for EVO owners? because these forums really don't understand the true classic bikes.
Don't get me wrong we have great EVO guys like Paco, Goat and others but it just gets old hearing about the dude that just bought his new Street glide and doesn't understand how the kick stand works!
Good to hear from you guys, man, I love my 93 wide glide. Just a quick run down...84 CB 400, 05 jap v star, 2006 sporty, 2007 Road King Custom (which was bitchin) but I traded that King in on my 93 Wide Glide with 36,000 miles on it and love it. The main reason was to wrench on my own bike. The King was nice but I didn't feel comfortable wrenching on it. Plus, I love older s--t anyways. As stated before, I believe it's easier to throw some jets in than it is to f--k with computer stuff. Just lowered her tonight, now she scrapes around corners which kind of sucks but it looks bithcin. I too believe the evo is a strong *** motor and just love it so far. Let's keep this EVO post going. FTW
