Default crash/engine guards

Just laid my '93 dresser on its side and need a replacement engine crash bar...lots on ebay but seem to be for '96 and later touring moderls...any idea if the later ones will fit on my '93 as long as their from a touring bike?

I believe that '97 and later are different, not sure about '96 and older.

Correct. 88-96 uses the same (for flh, flt flhs). Earlier used a different one because they were the air reservoir for the front end.

handle bar is the reservoir on the 91 flhs. front air control. most engine guard (crash) bars simply bolt on for years late 1950,s - 2009.

ebay has lots of crash bars that they say are for 97 and later models...what is the difference with the '93 models that cause them to not fit?
