I do not think so as there was a frame design change but I am not 100 percent sure of the years.I would call the dealer and ask them to check the part numbers.
Many thanks for prompt reply! Unfortuanately dealers here arent too smart when it comes to asking advice. No problem when you want to buy something!!!
I will give them a try though. This is my first Harley after selling my 02 Yam.TDM900. I still have a 79/80 Honda CX500 which is undergoing restoration. Ive had a bad start to Harley ownership. Ive already re-newed...the Armature/Rotor,Primary Chain,Drive Belt, Voltage Regulator, Battery,RectifierTurn Signal Module and thats not taking into account the new Bearings & Oil Seals which I replaced whist the P.Chain Casings were off. At the moment I am ready to fit a New Ultima (2006 model)Ignition Kit to try and get the bike firing/starting. I am not getting a spark and I think the 96 Screamin Eagle Ign. unit might be faulty. Im sure you know what its like...in for a penny/cent in for a pound/dollar. Cheers for now. Doug (Glasgow.Scotland.)
Why do you ask? I am upgrading the rear end of my 1990 FLHS with a 2007 swingarm and rear wheel. Far stiffer than our original ones and should improve handling.
Thanks Guys! A lot of good info./advice there which Ive taken note of. The only problem with a newer (2007) S/Arm would be the cost +Shipping to get it over to me here in the UK.It will be expensive to buy here. I suppose it s the old story..."where do you stop?.$$$$$ŁŁŁŁŁ". Spring is in the air over here in Scotland so hopefully Ill get the Ultra sorted and be out and about come March. I know the weather varies so much in the U.S.,depending on your location, but wherever you are ...Happy Riding!
Doug.
