Pulled the trigger and went ahead and removed the belt guards, ground down the tabs and cleaned/painted up the swingarm. There's NO going back now!! I hope I like it. AND I decided to try my skills at refinishing my axle nut covers. So far so good!! One down one to go. Now if I can get my new fender on soon and throw it all back together.............

 

Attack it and admire your work, cold beer mixed with grit in your teeth is what it is all about.
