hello everyone. I have a ignition module I need to replace it's a screamin eagle #32596-96 but that part is no longer available. Is there an ignition module I can relace it with or upgrade? Any help on my delema?
Almost forgot...there are a couple different plug types....the part number I gave has the late style plug...not sure what style is on your SE module...I have an SE module on my '86 but needed a wiring harness to adapt it to the '91 and newer plug...I'll need to check tomorrow if I have the same SE module part number as yours.
ok cool thx my plug has 7 pin. I was told I can get the 8 pin & cut it off & put my 7 pin on it. Wires are the same that 8th pin is plugged so it should work. Thx again for your help it's appreciated alot.
It sounds like there are 3 types of connections...the early barrel type used until '90....you need harness # 32408-90 to change to the 7-pin connector used from '91 to '93.
Then the 8-pin Deutch connector was used after '93 where you need the 7-to-8 pin adapter to adapt to the later style. And there is an adapter to adapt from the 8-to-7 pin style also:
