Default need starter advice

Hey Guys,
Im gettin close to completing the mock up on my cfl build. I got a new evo and wanted some input on what starter you guys recommend or have had luck with? I got a high end one on my s&s 111 on my chopper but was thinking I could get away with a cheapie for this 80".

I installed an Ultima 1.4KW chrome (real chrome, not chrome tape) starter on Bertha last year that I bought on eBay, from Eastern PC for $140 with free shipping. I love it. Very dependable and looks great. I think the Ultimas are just about the lowest priced starters out there, and they seem to be good quality.

I also installed one of those little chrome push buttons on the end of the solenoid, just in case I have any battery issues. So far, I haven't needed to use it...

I have an Ultima too...seems to be excellent quality. I didn't expect much when I bought it because of the cheap price...but it cranks better than the stocker and seems to be holding up well.

I have the Ultima 1.75kw on mine.
It was a good buy, and works fine, even with higher compression.

I have an Ultima 1.4 on our '90 Ultra, maybe 2 1/2 -3 years now and although I thought it would never hold up because I only paid a little over $100.00 for it from Jireh, it is still working. I don't know, maybe 25,000+ miles and a lot of starts. I added the button to the end of the solenoid, the newer ones come with a button.

Yeah - I guess the All *****, etc. starters are very good - but man are they expensive! I've seen the big 1.75KW and 2.0KW ones listed for over $400 on eBay! The Ultimas are half that or less... and mine seems to work just fine, thank you.

I still have my original 1990 starter with my S&S 107. Still works, although I fitted a new clutch to it some years ago.

I am having starter issues with my EVO. It makes a click noise and if it does turn the motor over it happens just once. Its getting power but just engage and turn. Any ideas? I guess a new starter... Know anyone who will ship to an APO address. Just got to germany and in the Air Force. Want to get this bike runnin!
