i have a 80ci evo. i have oil boiling up out of lifter blocks.
what are some of the reasons this could happen.
i have low compression in front cylinder i was going to deal with it this winter. could this cause the other?
I don't know exacly what "boiling up out of the lifter blocks" means. A lot of oil? Some little bubbles? Anyway, an oil leak there could be the lifter block gaskets. How low of compression? Excessive blowby from a blown piston could be pressurizing the bottom end. Either way, sounds like the top end is coming off, and new lifter block gaskets when that happens.
yea a lot of oil, 10 miles covered the whole right side of bike.
the compression deal, the bike runs grate thats why i cant see all this going on with it running so well.
what the heck...off with her heads!
thanks
its a 90 ultra, 48,000 miles. at 50 the oil is pushing up and out of the lifter blocks. a lot of oil, you could see it running. soaked the whole right side of bike. and i did check to make sure it wasnt coming from air filter.
