hello im new to this evo section! i sold my twincam 88 and went to an exellent shape softail!! and i love this thing!!! the harley dealer said all maintanace has been completed.
the bike has 27000 miles is there any thing i should have checked or watch out for?
I believe that year had the good Torrington cam bearing, and I don't know of any thing else that might be a problem. Maybe others will chime in here. Mine is a 99. They sure are cool arn't they.
I have had my 1990 FLHS from new and I reckon they will have been done a long time ago! There are quite a few things that can go wrong with the bikes from that period, but nothing that can't be fixed. They may all have been sorted anyway.
I've had my 1990 fxstc since 1991, I've changed a few things since then amongst them is the engine for more power, but it's still a great bike I like it more now than when it was new.
thanks all for the great replies. glad to know ive got a good year. i really like this bike
i get many compliments from every one that sees it. even strangers come running after me for questions and compliments and how the love older harleys!! so true i say!!!
