Thanks dude.. I was informed that it did have the Stage 1 air breather with the modified jetting and the Vance & Hines slip ons...I have suspected jetting issues but am not that up on tinkering... would the Andrews EV 27 cam possibly rectify this? It seems you think it would...and is much appreciated advice to go forward with...
A change of cam will improve breathing of the engine and may need changes to the carb to get the best out of it. So no, it won't sort out your current problem, possibly add to it. If you are not confident of tinkering find yourself an independent who can sort your bike for you. Changing a cam is not very time consuming or expensive, so you could offer that as a carrot!
I can't seem to set the clock on my 96 FLH...doesn't seem to say anything in the owners manual...
Mine has a plastic **** in the middle of the face. Normally it just turns without doing anything. Press it in and gently turn it. You should feel it engage the hands and turn them. If you have big fingers find a friendly pair of small gentle ones to do it!
I think 95 and after solved some of the old evo problems, base gaskets, etc... Still have the inner cam bearing to solve but pretty easy to do and need to replace the lifters most of the time anyway.
