My wife's 1988 FLSTC needs a small plastic part, but I can't see it in the Harley Parts book; and don't know where else to look.
It is the black inverted cone shaped plastic part in the photo below, (under the choke **** retaining nut) that "snaps" onto the choke cable guide of the console.
Hers is cracked, and falling apart.
Maybe someone here that switched out carbs has their old cable with this fitting?
My dealer keeps sayin' they are going to stop carrying Evo parts, but so far they have had "most" everything in stock that I have needed. I know the real money is in the newer bike parts but still, plenty of people need Evo parts every day and at least at Richmond HD, their shop is still PACKED FULL of Evo's every time I poke my head in. So I hope that means parts for at least a tad longer. They had my choke cable in stock a couple months ago, but alas....mine was the one that you had to buy the entire assembly. No separate parts.
I have an old keihn with choke assy around here somewhere. 1988 vintage if you cant get your part.
if yours is a keihn, you should upgrade to cv-40 or mckuni. Mine runs like a raped ape just from that lil addition!
Hatch.
