I have a 1996 Ultra with the stock CB. Both upper switched are broken. Can I replace those myself? They seem to be simple toggle switches. I have seen a parts breakdown of the console online and it shows toggle switches available through the dealer.
I am aware of Radio Sound and their repair policy. But if I can merely replace these simple switches myself, I probably save $150.00 and give me a project for this winter.
Can I get to those switches without damaging the unit? Thanks in advance for your help.
How good are you at electronics? If you are handy with a soldering iron and board mount components on PCB's and have a source of parts, it isn't difficult. If you don't have some good experiance. I'd go another route.
